Delta College is seeking a dynamic professional for the position of Admissions Representative, focused on transforming the lives of our students as part of its commitment to a values-based mission of equity and completion. This position is part of a high-energy team that is responsible for engaging with and attracting new students to Delta. The successful candidate will source new student leads through various recruitment and admissions activities designed to attract, prepare, and enroll students. This position will initiate contact with students, counselors, career navigators, and the community to educate them about the vast opportunities at Delta College and explain the enrollment processes, encouraging students to visit, apply and attend the institution.
This position is responsible for meeting individual and institutional recruitment goals related to the enrollment of students at Delta College through meaningful interactions that identify enrollment barriers and connect them to the appropriate resources. The incumbent will remain current on college information including academic/career pathways, transfer pathways and financial aid programs, including deadlines. This position is part of the Welcome Center Team within the Student and Empowerment Services (SES) Division and will work closely with Advising, the Educational Opportunity Center, Financial Aid, and Student Finance. This position reports to the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management.
POSITIONSUMMARY:
Develop a strong knowledge of the institution's academic offerings including certificates, degrees, secondary articulations, transfer articulations/guides and career pathways as well as an understanding of the enrollment policies and procedures.
Build relationships within a defined recruitment territory including: secondary partners, college & career advisors, businesses, community groups and other market segments, for the purpose of recruiting traditional, non-traditional and dual enrollment prospective students for admission to Delta College.
Develop a plan to build a pipeline of prospects and applicants within assigned territory to cultivate and secure successful enrollment for all student types.
Schedule, manage and attend on/off campus enrollment events that promote Delta College within assigned territory.
Promote Delta College, its programs and support services to prospective students and the community to help guide them to achieve their personal, professional and academic goals.
Communicate effectively with prospective students through site visits, college days/nights, office hours, on-campus visits, written, electronic, phone and text communications.
Present to various sized groups or individuals on the value and benefits of attending Delta College.
Provide information to walk-in students, inbound telephone callers, and electronic communications.
Proactively engage with counselors to drive high school tour groups to campus within assigned territory. Host and personally lead individual and group campus tours.
Utilize the Recruit CRM System and Colleague student information system to perform daily duties including, tracking and proactive outreach activities to ensure completion of the enrollment process steps.
Represent the College in a positive and professional manner at various professional organizations and community events.
Prepare reports and maintain data as requested from the Associate Dean of Enrollment Management.
Ability to prioritize work responsibilities and adapt to changing duties
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Demonstrated experience in the promotion/marketing of programs or services
Excellent oral, written, public speaking, and presentation skills
Microsoft Office software proficiency
Ability to travel and maintain a valid driver's license
Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and the occasional weekend

Additional Experiences Considered:
Recruiting/Student Affairs experience for a higher educational institution
Demonstrated experience working with at-risk, first-generation, and other diverse populations
CRM experience
Database or Student Information Systems experience
Financial Aid knowledge
