Position Title: iSEED Undergraduate Program Coordinator

Position Summary:

• Organize and manage the CLIMB UP/iSEED summer program
  • Serve as the initial contact for students interested in applying to the summer program.
  • Prepare a10-week program including scheduling orientation, trainings, summer program activities, field trips, lectures, and research symposium.
  • Match students with mentors based on research interest.
  • Prepare student appointment paperwork and ensure stipends are distributed.
  • Arrange housing and travel for summer students
  • Maintain and track all summer program expenditures.
  • Prepare end of summer program summaries for the iSEED executive committee

• Organize and participate in in-person and virtual recruitment events locally (UB, local colleges/universities) and nationally (ABRCMS, SACNAS)
• Update and maintain iSEED and CLIMB UP websites
• Maintain and update CLIMB UP/iSEED summer program assessments and track student success and academic/career outcomes
• Support iSEED and CLIMB UP program related initiatives and engage in duties assigned to further the mission of iSEED
• Organize and manage meetings with the iSEED executive committee

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with one or more year of administrative experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the requirement.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good judgement and discretion with confidential materials.
• Ability to foster student success and career exploration in STEM.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and in a team.
• Flexibility in availability to students during the summer program.
