Position Summary:
The Office of Biomedical Education seeks to hire a full-time Undergraduate Program Coordinator to support the Institute for Strategic Enhancement of Educational Diversity (iSEED). The undergraduate program coordinator will work with the iSEED Director, representatives from iSEED partner schools, and the Office of Biomedical Education to fulfill iSEED's mission of building a culturally and intellectually diverse community of trainees. In this position, you will:
Organize and manage the CLIMB UP/iSEED summer program
Serve as the initial contact for students interested in applying to the summer program.
Prepare a10-week program including scheduling orientation, trainings, summer program activities, field trips, lectures, and research symposium.
Match students with mentors based on research interest.
Prepare student appointment paperwork and ensure stipends are distributed.
Arrange housing and travel for summer students
Maintain and track all summer program expenditures.
Prepare end of summer program summaries for the iSEED executive committee
Organize and participate in in-person and virtual recruitment events locally (UB, local colleges/universities) and nationally (ABRCMS, SACNAS)
Update and maintain iSEED and CLIMB UP websites
Maintain and update CLIMB UP/iSEED summer program assessments and track student success and academic/career outcomes
Support iSEED and CLIMB UP program related initiatives and engage in duties assigned to further the mission of iSEED
Organize and manage meetings with the iSEED executive committee

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with one or more year of administrative experience. A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the requirement.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good judgement and discretion with confidential materials.
Ability to foster student success and career exploration in STEM.
Ability to handle multiple priorities, work independently, and in a team.
Flexibility in availability to students during the summer program.
