POSITION DETAILS
The College of Staten Island (CSI) is a City University of New York (CUNY) senior College organized around two academic divisions and three schools, with over 10,000 students. CSI offers a broad range of academic programs in the liberal arts and sciences, and in several professional areas. The College awards associate's, bachelor's, master's and clinical doctoral degrees, and in collaboration with The CUNY Graduate Center, numerous Ph.D. degrees. Reporting to the Director, the Associate Director of Student Life/Operations:
- Oversees and supervises the daily operations of the Campus Center including use of facilities, event management, financial accounting, facility and program marketing, property inventory and control, and capital equipment selection and procurement
- Designs and implements policies and procedures for services and programs provided by the Campus Center. Creates and implements avenues of revenue for the Campus Center
- Collaborates with Dining Services, Buildings and Grounds and Public Safety for facility and event management for the Campus Center
- Recruits, trains and supervises Building Managers, as well as work study students for Campus Center operations. Supervises the Chief Engineer of WSIA, the College Radio station.
- Advises student groups, including the oversight of WSIA, the College FM radio station
- Assumes the responsibilities of the Director of Student Life in his/her absence.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree and six years related experience required.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Master???s degree in student personnel, higher education administration or related field preferred.
- At least 4 years??? experience in campus center/student union operations and facilities management
- Experience working in a multicultural environment and excellent interpersonal skills

- Evaluates student needs and trends to develop a range of student services
- Develops and administers specific programs and general activities in support of student needs

- Represents the College in campus-wide and university-wide groups and councils focusing on priority student issues

City of New York employees hired on or after October 1, 2022, and their eligible dependents, will only be eligible to enroll in the Emblem Health HIP HMO Preferred Plan, and must remain in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan for the first year (365 days) of employment.
After 365 days of employment, the employee will have the option of either remaining in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan or selecting a different health plan within 30 days before the end of the 365-day period. If a new health plan is selected, the new plan will be effective on the 366th day.
Only after the 365th day can the employee participate in any Annual Fall Transfer Period.
