The Coordinator of Pathways and Outreach is an administrative position that reports to the Director of Student Services and works very closely with the faculty and staff leadership in the College of Education and Human Development. The primary responsibilities will focus on helping EDHD achieve its undergraduate recruitment goals. The coordinator will serve as a primary liaison with the Office of Admissions, and will be responsible for leading EDHD involvement with large-scale recruitment events (Preview Days, President’s Day Open House, Education Day) and serve as the primary contact for prospective students. In addition, the coordinator will also help organize and support EDHD undergraduate events that happen within our various degree programs (HDFS Developing Connections Event, FMPD Career Day, Teacher Job Fair, etc.). Occasional travel to high schools or college fairs may be required.
Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities
Develop a comprehensive undergraduate recruitment and yield strategy for EDHD (using data to pinpoint feeder schools/districts and target student populations)
Liaison with Admissions – coordinating and serve as lead for personalized visits, group visits, Education Days, Preview Days, and Presidents Day
Attended recruitment events at high schools and community colleges
Foster relationships with community partners that align with current and emergent recruitment goals
Assist with facilitation of EDHD transition events: Developing Connections, Teacher Job Fair, etc.

Possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Knowledge of the University as a whole is critical, given frequent work with students outside the College and frequent referral of students to other departments on campus
Possess strong time management skills and be a team player. Attention to detail is crucial.
Cognizant of the many individuals assisting the student in the college search process and be prepared to interact across many levels of interest
Caring and compassionate attitude when working with students
Creativity is necessary in establishing and promoting recruitment activities
Salary
Full-time administrative staff position. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Administrative pay grade 354. Full benefits package available.

Master's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Programs offered in the College of Education and Human Development (e.g., Sport Management, THEM, Teacher Education, etc.), College Student Personnel.

2 years in college admissions/recruitment, advising, or other work related to higher education recruitment and student success
