Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Program Director of Teal Residential College and Coordinator of Retention Initiatives is responsible for recruiting, engaging and retaining 350 students living in Teal Residential College. This position works closely with the Faculty Steward, Residence Hall Director, and Resident Chaplain to advise and develop student leadership in addition to planning academic and social programming. Additionally, this position serves as a liaison to Campus Living & Learning and works closely with Office of Undergraduate Programs in ECS on retention and recruiting initiatives.
A Bachelor's degree, two years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's degree and four years of experience are preferred. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Coordinate the recruitment, application, admissions, and selection processes for both upper-division and incoming freshmen and transfer students to Teal Residential College. This would also include liaising with Campus Living & Learning to manage all bed spaces and assignments in the building.
Coordinate the Teal Residential College's calendar of events and activities that support the curricular and co-curricular aspects of the program in conjunction with hall staff. This includes advising Teal College Council and coordinating move-in activities at the beginning of the academic year.
Collaborate and meet with the residence hall director, community leaders, faculty steward and other associated individuals who support Teal Residential College.
Oversee the development of an effective communications strategy including, but not limited to: print materials and websites that describe and promote interest in activities, programs and services sponsored by Teal Residential College, coordinating external and internal communications, and involvement in university-wide events (Premiere, Orientation, etc.
Manage the overall student programming fee budget which includes purchasing and preparing an annual budget proposal.
Assist with course and program assessment and analysis and data collection concerning student success and retention.
Additional Duties
Assist with school-wide retention initiatives, including ECS Line Camp, Undergraduate Teaching Fellows, and the ECS Student Organization Council.
Oversee the ECS Learning Resource Center which includes supervising practicum graduate students and student workers.
Assist with ECS recruiting events including daily tours, scholarship programs, and university-wide programs.
Other duties as assigned to support retention and success initiatives in ECS.
