Student Life, a department in the Division of Student and Campus Life, seeks qualified candidates for the position of Coordinator of Student Life Programs and Orientation. The Department of Student Life supports the Geneseo Vision of cultivating a distinctive, equity-centered, public honors college experience that propels learners to positively impact society and the values of Learning, Creativity, Belonging, Civic Engagement, and Sustainability. Student Life administers the MacVittie College Union and selects co-curricular educational and assessment initiatives.
Opportunities for student engagement and learning within the department are numerous. In this role, you’ll primarily be focused on Weeks of Welcome and Orientation.

The Student Life Educational Priority is the development of socially responsible citizens who build positive, inclusive relationships as engaged learners.
In addition to an in-person weekday work schedule, the Coordinator will be required to work some evenings and weekends throughout the academic year.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in student affairs or a similar field, by the time of appointment
Basic understanding of orientation, programming, and event management responsibilities.
Experience in the management and administration of student orientation and activities.
Demonstrated self-awareness and commitment to values of diversity and equity.
