Provide program leadership in the development of all on/off field activities including game day coordination, practice planning, strategic game planning and execution, supervision of the assistant coaching staff, and scheduling of contests/practices. Collaborate with head strength & conditioning coach to develop effective strength and conditioning programs throughout the year.
Effectively recruit qualified and talented student-athletes on a global perspective. Provide leadership with the contact and follow-up of all potential student-athletes. Cultivate a good rapport with high school coaches and area club organizations. Organize, plan and direct recruits with their campus visits. Possess an understanding and working knowledge of current NCAA recruiting rules and regulations.
Advisement/mentorship of student-athletes in all aspects of their student-athlete experience at RIT. Serve as a positive role model for the student-athletes at all times. Maintain effective communication with team members and utilize effective motivational techniques. Attend professional development opportunities when available.
Manage and administer program resources in collaboration with the athletic support team. Areas include: team travel, hospitality, equipment acquisition, athletic communication requests and athletic training.

Department/College Description The Center of Intercollegiate at RIT sponsors 22 NCAA Division III sports for men and women. The University also offers Division I programs in the sports of men's and women's ice hockey. RIT is a member of the NCAA, Liberty League, the Atlantic Hockey Association and College Hockey America.
Minimum Qualifications Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 3-5 years of coaching experience in Mens and Womens Rowing

Impeccable integrity and demonstrated capacity to teach, coach, and communicate broadly with student athletes, families, colleagues; cultivate and sustain collegial relationships; build unity around difficult issues; be an active listener, facilitator, convener, and mediator.
Recognized as an effective advocate for the student athlete experience and personally exhibit high ethical standards of conduct.
Ability to attract, recruit, retain, inspire and motivate highly qualified student-athletes.
Possess a deep understanding of a diverse student body and a demonstrated commitment to an inclusive environment that promotes and values diversity and cross-cultural experiences of its members.
Administratively self-sufficient and be proficient using software and enterprise systems appropriate for the complexities of the role and its functions.
