Job Summary
The Ready to Work (RTW) Program serves pre-college, college, and post-college students who are receiving Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program (K-TAP) benefits.
Job Duties:
On-campus: working in student service offices, labs, and various other campus departments. Off-campus: working in local elementary schools, small businesses, non-profit businesses, and various community service positions. All work assignments are aimed at the student's area of study for on the job experience.
The program can help with: •Paid work experience on and off campus •Counseling, advising, and mentoring •Referrals to community resources •Job references and referrals •Job readiness, life skills, and academic success seminars
Minimum Qualifications:
To be eligible for the Ready to Work Program, students must be enrolled in school and receive K-TAP benefits.
Kentucky State Law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.Â
