Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate Course Scheduling for MSW, MPH, MSP, and PhD Courses
Manage teaching invitations, assign course times to avoid conflicts, assign classrooms, and onboard adjunct faculty. Support the Brown School Registrars Office. Respond to student, staff and faculty initiated requests (email, phone or in person) in a timely, diplomatic manner using tact and discretion while exercising sound judgment in dealing with sensitive situation. Provide support to new and/or current projects generated from the Registrarâ™s Office or other departments within the Brown School or Washington University as a whole.
Provide administrative support to adjunct and visiting faculty including course administrative services.
Administer and oversee the process of Proficiency Exams for incoming students. Including timely scoring and reporting results to students and the Registrarâ™s office with tracking for historical purposes, coordinating with volunteers for proficiency exam dates to match with Admissions on student tours.
Update and maintain the degree audit system for students ensuring all cohort degree requirements have been met.
Coordinate with Field Education to get practicum grades submitted for each semester.
Maintain online grade records.
Maintain student records via KnowledgeLake and upload new files. Work with Admissions for incoming admitted students and uploading their electronic files.
Maintain student letters and verifications as requested.
Monitor registration process (dates, credit caps, etc.).
Monitor student graduation requirements and serve as liaison with the Office of the University Registrar with regard to the students' last semester. Communicate, follow-up, guide students and faculty/staff on student status by forecasting and developing leading indicators of anticipated results. Provide leadership and advisory information to administrators, deans, and faculty regarding student status. Support Academic/Student Affairs in graduation process for Fall and Spring Commencement ceremonies.
Input and coordinate WUCRSL information; create new course listings, cross-listings with other departments and section information. Post proposed course offerings and other documents on Inside Brown. Solicit, edit and post course outlines on Canvas. Schedule classes in EMS.
Create and administer proficiency exams on Canvas Platform. Enroll students, monitor and communicate results to students. Update student record. Maintain a Policies and Procedures Manual and maintain a web-based site for relevant student records information.
Create and manage semester Exit Surveys for graduating master students. Provide deans with results and year to year comparison. Research and provide teaching data as requested.
Provide administrative support to the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs which may include managing the Assistant Deanâ™s calendar and email; scheduling meetings and preparing materials for appointments, coordinating travel, organizing ground/air travel, accommodations, preparing materials, completing expense reports and drafting and finalizing correspondence, presentations and reports while maintaining confidentiality.
Communicate with alumni regarding degree and internship certification for employment and state licensing.
Perform other duties as assigned

Bachelorâ™s degree.
Academic administrative experience.
Demonstrated ability to relate to a wide range of constituents, including students, faculty and other University personnel and public groups.
Strong working knowledge of software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks that are subject to interruptions. Strong attention to detail. Strong oral and written communication skills. Outstanding judgment and ability to make decisions.
Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite. Problem Solving. Well-organized. Excellent calendar management skills.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification.
Three years of relevant experience.

Salary Range
$20.15 - $31.26 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
