Position Information This position is a key contributor to the leadership of the College of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS). The Assistant Dean for Student Success is an innovative professional who is genuinely enthusiastic about and committed to the success of the undergraduate student population within CHASS. The Assistant Dean will demonstrate exceptional leadership in student success and cultivate such leadership in others conversant with national best practices and mentorship. This position will provide a vision and strategy to further distinguish the student experience within CHASS and lead and continue to develop the CHASS student affairs team which includes the CHASS undergraduate advising team, CHASS college advising team, CHASS Enrollment Team, and the CHASS F1RST Year Experience team. This position is responsible for monitoring enrollment, identifying trends, and developing successful programs to positively impact undergraduate enrollment and success toward graduation.

Education Education Requirements
Degree Requirement Advanced degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required Master's Degree Preferred
Experience
Experience Requirement 10 - 15 years of related experience. Required Minimum of 4-7 years significant and progressive record of higher education leadership in student affairs or enrollment management Preferred Previous supervisory/managerial experience. Preferred
Minimum Requirements Comprehensive understanding of academic programs, processes, and operations in a large public research university. Advanced knowledge of information systems technology, including electronic processing, electronic storage and retrieval of data, instructional technology to support classroom activities, and e-learning platforms. Advanced knowledge of Federal and California laws pertaining to the privacy rights of students and access to student information. Advanced knowledge of Academic Senate regulations, including student registration, course enrollments, classroom use, recording of grades, and maintenance of student records.
