About Le Sallay International Academy
Created in 2018 by a team based in France with extensive experience in international instruction, Le Sallay offers a revolutionary educational model that combines the best of remote and the best of in-person schooling. Every trimester students study remotely for 8 weeks and then gather with peers, faculty, and staff at the campus for 3 weeks of in-person instruction.
Since its inception, Le Sallay has met in-person in France. Beginning in September, 2022, the school is expanding its operations and opening its first US-based campus.
What makes Le Sallay’s programs different?
all subjects are studied at an advanced level allowing students to explore topics with greater depth
the humanities curriculum focuses on world history and literature with an emphasis on making interdisciplinary links between subjects building students critical thinking and writing skills
math curriculum draws from global best global practices including Singapore math, Art of Problem Solving and competitive math programs and is structured to meet the needs of each individual student.
in STEM, students merge cross-curriculum concepts with engineering strategies to go into multifaceted, real-world problems. These challenging programs ask students to explore new content and concepts when they are ready, sometimes years before these topics are studied in traditional schools or even colleges.
individual learning plans expand Le Sallay's core curriculum to provide students with a pace and depth appropriate to their strengths and areas for development
regular one-on-one guidance sessions and consistent psychological support help students develop emotional regulation and build study skills they will need to succeed in a rigorous academic setting.
Other advantages include small class sizes, with an average 1:4 teacher-student ratio, faculty trained in working with gifted and twice-exceptional students, and an international focus that allows students to expand their horizons.
Le Sallay graduates have been accepted to some of the most highly-selective high schools in the UK, United States, Switzerland and other countries. A unique combination of boarding and online learning makes Le Sallay schools accessible to any student independent of their location. But more importantly, Le Sallay is building a community of enthusiastic learners, where gifted students feel not only challenged, but also appreciated, accepted, and nurtured.
Forbes Magazine named Le Sallay Academy "? pioneer in blended learning education for pre-teens", and in April 2022 Relocated Magazine named Le Sallay Academy to four best schools in the School Excellence for Relocation & Transition Care category.
