Job Summary
Working collaboratively with college leadership, faculty, and staff, the Director for Adult Learner Enrollment holds primary responsibility for developing and overseeing BCTC’s online learning initiatives for adult learners. The Director provides leadership and support in planning, managing, and developing initiatives and activities, as well as evaluation. This position requires collaboration and planning with many areas of the college. The position reports to the Associate Vice President for Workforce Solutions.
Job Duties:
Provide leadership that enables the college to meet its mission by applying best practices for supporting online adult learners.
Work collaboratively to ensure a working student-centered philosophy.
Collaborate Strategic Communication to market online programs to working adults.
Collaborate with Workforce Solutions to promote professional and continuing education, both credit and non-credit.
Lead adult recruitment by collaborating with Workforce Solutions, Admissions/Recruitment, and local industry.
Lead BCTC Credit for Prior Learning
Works collaboratively with faculty, staff, and outside agencies to review, recommend, and revise policies and practices related to evaluating and awarding credit for students' prior learning.
Ensures BCTC’s credit for prior learning policies and practices follow accreditation standards.
Collaborates with the Coordinator for Veterans Services to ensure credit for prior learning is clearly articulated to veterans.Â
Serve as point of contact and resource to answer questions from students, faculty, and staff related to credit for prior learning.
Assumes a lead role in assisting students in determining the appropriateness of pursuing prior learning credits based on students' individual circumstances and experiences in consultation with discipline-specific faculty and advisors as appropriate.
Oversee any learn on demand related activities.
Monitor success of adult students and collaborate with Advising, Student Success Hub, and other student services to strengthen completion.
Foster innovation and quality improvement through effective coordination, development, implementation, and assessment of related initiatives.
Supervises staff including recommendations on hiring, orientation, coaching, managing daily performance, evaluation, and supporting professional development.
Responsible for the area budget.
Lead area website development and maintenance.
Provide systematic reports to president, provost, and other personnel.Â
Support grant development that aligns with the mission and goals of the College.
Support the mission, vision, and values of the College and attends College events and meetings.
Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree (Counseling, Student Services, Higher Education, or related field) and three years related experience, or equivalent.Â
