Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is seeking a full-time Advanced Manufacturing Program Manager.

Starting Salary:
$51,000 - 60,000/Year
Position Summary:
This position will provide professional leadership for program management and talent development for Advanced Manufacturing, coordinate training in Advanced Manufacturing programs, and ensure high quality programming for area business and industry. Supervise Non-credit and Contract Training instructors. Serve as the Student Development liaison for services at the Blong Technology Center (BTC), including initiatives for student retention and success and leading initiatives to increase enrollment of under-represented groups within Advanced Manufacturing fields.
Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred background and/or education in Advanced Manufacturing
Preferred background in higher education
Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Must be able to develop and maintain solid relationships with businesses in the community.
Must be able to coordinate training
Must possess knowledge regarding the training needs of local industry
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, or ability to secure transportation to customer locations throughout the EICC district.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Program ManagerDuties and Responsibilities
Recruit, hire, train, and supervise Non-credit and Contract Training instructors.
Support Non-credit and Contract Training instructors with student, class, and scheduling issues.
Coordinate and support the content experts and the Associate Project Director for Advanced Manufacturing on curriculum development.
Participate in local, state, and national professional organizations related to subject area.
Use LERN tools, benchmarks, and formulas to market program offerings, determine pricing, evaluate current offerings, and develop new courses/programs.
Monitor and analyze budget revenue projections and program expenses and maintain appropriate operating margins.
Develop training proposals and contracts.
Coordinate training schedules.
Maintains records of activities and business interactions through Lumens and the college Learning Management System (LMS).
Possess up-to-date knowledge of all CE and credit programs, services, processes/procedures, and relevant resources.
Work collaboratively with all departments and offices of the college.
Provide input on marketing materials and website. Update materials as needed.
Collaborate with the Business Solutions Team to provide contract training to business and industry. As needed, attend meetings with business and industry.
Demonstrate an understanding of training grant and funding options pertaining to program area.
Develop or actively participate in advisory committee meetings that pertain to program area.
Specific to Program Areas
Provide technical assistance in Advanced Manufacturing training to business and industry.
Support efforts of the Dean of Manufacturing and Skilled Trades and the Associate Project Director for Advanced Manufacturing to keep up-to-date with innovations in manufacturing in order to ensure high quality, timely training options for local industry, including ensuring that the curriculum and instruction meets employer needs.
Develop public and consortium training opportunities in all areas of the district.
Support activities and collaborations through the Advanced Manufacturing Sector Board.
Related to Strategic Plan and/or Location
Under the direction of the SCC Dean of Students, serve as the Student Development liaison for services at the Blong Technology Center (BTC), including initiatives for student retention and success.
Lead initiatives to increase enrollment of under-represented groups within Advanced Manufacturing fields.
Under the guidance of the SCC Development Department and supervisor, coordinate on campus student events at BTC to increase student engagement.
Serve as backup for the BTC building operations team.
Is committed to providing quality service that meets or exceeds the expectations of internal and external customers.
