Under the supervision of the Assistant Dean of Graduate Enrollment, the Assistant Director of Graduate Education Engagement is responsible for departmental engagement, communication management, engagements and outreach:
DEPARTMENTALENGAGEMENT
Establishing productive working relationships with graduate program faculty, support staff, and departments; supporting departments as they foster inclusive excellence in recruitment, programming, and retention, serving as the primary contact within Graduate Studies.
Identify key areas where Graduate Studies can enhance the services offered to graduate programs and its faculty, serve as liaison between graduate program faculty and support staff, to the Office of Graduate Studies.
Develop ongoing conversation opportunities for university faculty and staff to discuss and share best practices in graduate admission and recruitment, integrating training and policy changes as needed.
Identify key graduate enrollment trends and continuously examine data for opportunities.
COMMUNICATIONMANAGEMENT
Implement and evaluate prospective graduate student communication strategies within OGS as well as supporting graduate departments in doing the same.
Coordinate student inquiry management (e.g. CRM).
Develop effective outreach support for prospective graduate students at all phases of the enrollment funnel and incorporate innovative and appealing avenues for communication.
Serve as project manager for projects outside of the Office of Graduate Studies, such as promotional materials.
Proactively applying inclusive communication strategies, recognizing demographic shifts in graduate education.
ENGAGEMENTANDOUTREACH
Contribute to UNL's N|2025 goal of broadening Nebraska's engagement by supporting departments and colleges as they engage in community, industry, and global partnerships.
Participate in and travel to recruitment fairs and conferences representing the University of Nebraska.
Deliver graduate school workshops and recruitment presentations both on and off campus.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Master's degree plus minimum of two years experience in higher education, student services, marketing, or related field required. Must have demonstrated experience in event planning, program development, and program evaluation. Experience with database management required. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational and planning skills; demonstrated experience making presentations; and proven ability to work effectively as a team member. Travel will be required to both in-state and out-of-state graduate recruitment fairs and other special programs. Travel and on-campus student interaction will be necessary during evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in higher education admissions or student recruitment preferred. Preferred technical skills in Talisma and PeopleSoft. Knowledge of the grant writing process and graduate education issues is preferred.
