Pratt Institute's Office of the Registrar is seeking a Records Management Assistant who will be responsible for processing various registration transactions and maintaining the accuracy of academic records for current and former students. The successful candidate in this position will work with students, faculty, administration, and staff to understand Academic policy and federal guidelines as well as billing and financial aid issues regarding registration, among several other job responsibilities. On a typical day you will:
Provide quality customer service to students/faculty in person, on the phone, and via email
Assist with registration issues, counter duties, and walk-in requests
Provide general information on policies and procedures to a diverse campus community
Complete registration and grading paperwork for an assigned group of students and walk-in students; process drop/add, withdrawal, and other registration-related paperwork, etc.
Create, access, and update student records in the database
Evaluate and correct data in the database based on data submitted by students on various forms and notify the appropriate staff when the changes are complete
Update degree audits for specified students and process substitution requests
Process change of grade requests and follow up with the student and department
Assist with updating degree audits for specified programs. Must be familiar with all updates and revisions to curriculum.

Qualifications: Education: Associates degree required, bachelor's degree preferred, or comparable education/work experience in higher education.
Experience: Two years of office experience is required, preferably in an educational setting.
Knowledge and Skills: Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal communication skills, as well as the desire and ability to troubleshoot, analyze data, and solve problems required. Must be able to communicate effectively with a diverse population of students and staff, as well as demonstrate intercultural competence with an understanding of diversity in higher education.
