Job Description:
Minneapolis College is currently seeking a full-time, unlimited Dean of Nursing, Health Sciences and Wellness in the MnSCU Administrator 6 classification. The individual in this position provides leadership and oversight to the School of Nursing, Health Science and Wellness, and vision-wide strategic leadership and also serves as the Director of the Professional Nursing program. The individual in this position participates as part of a team to provide an innovative climate for programs targeted at nursing, allied health, and wellness education, community outreach, and other educational training needs of the workforce and community.
The Dean develops annual strategic planning objectives, performance standards, and evaluative criteria with designated staff and faculty, providing direction, leadership, and support for ongoing curriculum review and development, facilitating the development, implementation, and review of instructional programs and courses. The Dean is responsible for developing semester and annual schedules with faculty coordinators and the other academic deans, and recommending instructional personnel, space, and other resource needs and monitors enrollment information and statistics in all assigned areas to promote fiscal integrity. This position ensures that Minneapolis College's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is reflected in staffing and in the content of the instructional programs and courses.
This position may be eligible for partial telework in accordance with Minneapolis College's telework guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Current unencumbered Registered Nurse license in Minnesota.
Minimum three years of related experience in higher education.
Managerial, organizational and human relations skills.
Experience building and maintaining collaborative relationships

*Salary Range: Placement within the salary range for the MnSCU Administrator 6 classification is determined on the basis of relevant experience and in accordance with the 2021 – 2023 Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Personnel Plan for Administrators. Range midpoint is $107,500.
Minneapolis Community and Technical College (MCTC) is a public two-year college located in the heart of downtown Minneapolis.
