The SLA Success Navigator Bridges to College Raider Ready will provide direct services to recent high school graduate students in support of the College's efforts to increase student college readiness, persistence, retention, certificate/degree completion and successful transfer. In collaboration with the program manager or SLA Coordinator, this person will operate and assist in a case management student services role, focused on retention management, promoting post-secondary education, and intervention during the program. Activities include recruiting, assessing, monitoring and following up with students to ensure successful program completion.
Essential Job Functions
Communicate with high school counselors and administrators, business leaders, community organizations, and other potential partners in our community to recruit prospective participants to the College.
Utilize Customer Relation Management (CRM) software to manage prospective student and applicant communication and outreach plans, as well as case management efforts to improve recruitment and enrollment
Assist with information sessions for the College, distribute informational material and respond to inquiries at on and off-site recruitment and outreach programs.
Attend regular team meetings and training.
Regular attendance during normal scheduled hours is required. Being present is essential for serving customers and performing the essential functions of this position.
Other duties as assigned by the Dean of Strategic Outreach and Program Manager.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education
Associate's degree or comparable combination of relevant education and experience required.
Bilingual Spanish - English preferred.
Work Experience
Work experience with at-risk and diverse populations required.
Ability to relate to diverse high school student populations.
Experience in higher education and administrative settings are preferred.
Skilled in the planning and implementation of events and programs.
Candidates must have a high level of experience using and developing technology.
Excellent formal presentation skills for small and large groups while presenting a strong professional presence.
Skills
Ability to organize work, handle multiple tasks, and meet timelines in a multi-project environment
Proficient in use of electronic student information systems (PeopleSoft), Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc), Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Sheets, etc), Navigate, and other Internet applications preferred.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of data reporting systems; experience with data tracking and preparing reports preferred.
Ability to maintain a positive customer and student-oriented approach in a demanding work environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.

Must be able to carry at least 25-30 pounds of recruitment and student engagement material.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work flexible hours (i.e. night) including occasional weekends.
Must be able to commute between campus and high school locations and travel locally to participate in recruitment, testing, and intake activities in area GRPS High Schools.
