Under supervision, this position performs professional duties in the areas of academic advising, orientation, and program coordination in the undergraduate student services office in the College of Arts and Sciences. Advise students in College of Arts and Sciences majors on academic progress, perform senior checks, create graduation plans, and communicate with students regarding requirements for degree completion. Evaluate graduation applications and review graduating students' transcripts in College of Arts and Sciences majors; communicate degree approvals and disapprovals to the Registrar's Office and respond to student queries regarding graduation status.In coordination with the Office of Admissions and College of Arts and Sciences academic units, manage the processing of undergraduate readmission petitions. Serve as temporary academic advisor for up to 50 undergraduate students each semester as needed to cover departmental overloads or gaps. Assist with planning and implementation of events and activities conducted by the Office of Undergraduate Studies, including first-year and transfer student orientations, admitted-student weekends, and related events. Position requires some evening and weekend work.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree and 1 year of related experience or a Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years of related experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience.
