Job Description:
Reporting to the Assistant Vice President for Student Transition Initiatives, the Director provides overall leadership, strategic direction, vision, coordination, and delivery of a centralized, comprehensive career services department that offers a variety of services and programs to undergraduate and graduate students and alumni from all of the UT Dallas academic schools. The Director assumes fiscal and leadership responsibility for the efficient and effective operation of Student Employment, Career Development, Career Education, Employer Relations. and Experiential Programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in business administration, student personnel services, counseling or related field and a minimum of five years' experience in career management services. Knowledge of college career services programs and career development theory.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree in higher education, student affairs, counseling, human resources, or a closely related field. Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in higher education career services; working with student employment or financial aid; demonstrated budget administration experience; strong written and oral communication skills; proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, Handshake, or other CSM systems.
