The Highlights:
The Admissions Counselor, under the direction of the Associate Director of Transfer Admission, is responsible for executing targeted recruitment activities and strategies designed to attract and enroll an undergraduate population of the projected enrollment plan to the university. The Admissions Counselor will manage an assigned territory and/or student group, counsels prospective students and families about admission criteria and other critical factors in the educational decision process, assists in evaluating transcripts and transferable credit, and hosts admission recruitment events both on and off campus.
What You'll Do:
The Admissions Counselor manages an assigned territory as follows: Conduct student advising appointments on and off campus, information sessions, open houses and admission events, correspond with prospective students, parents, college counselors, alumni, etc. Ensures timely follow-through on communication by initiating and answering phone calls, correspondence and inquires from prospective students and their families and other constituents.
The Admissions Counselor manages data and maintains appropriate documentation regarding student contact with inquiry/prospect/applicant pool for assigned territory and/or student group through the customer relations management system (CRM), Slate.
The Admissions Counselor maintains a working knowledge of university information, organization, opportunities and policies. Additionally, cultivates working relationships with university colleges, departments, counselors and advisors as well as establish community contacts in order to enhance customer service and satisfaction.

What You'll Need:
A bachelor's degree is required.
Experience working in higher education or admission/recruitment setting, preferred.
Valid driver's license.
Routinely lift more than 25 lbs (recruitment materials)
Periodically spend time standing at college fairs and recruitment activities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Residency in the Chicagoland area is required.
Position requires a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle. Travel between DePaul campuses (Loop and Lincoln Park) is required and to community colleges in and around the Chicagoland area.
Position requires some evening and weekend work, as needed.
