SUMMARY The Executive Director of global enrollment will provide leadership for our non-traditional programs in the areas of recruitment, enrollment, coordination of student services and facilities management. Ideal qualities of the Executive Director include: Strong missional fit, entrepreneurial, sales focused, customer responsive, uses data and analytics for enrollment and program development decisions, superior communication/presentation skills, technologically savvy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed by University Administration.
I. LEADERSHIP FUNCTIONS — Accountable for:
All operations for non-traditional programs, overseeing efforts in recruiting, student services, facilities management for site-based programs and coordination with academic programs and services.
Development and implementation of short and long-range goals, meeting enrollment goals.
All staffing practices (Recruit, recommend for hire, supervise, and evaluate full-time Spring Arbor University personnel within department.)
Successful management of budgets, programs, and initiatives.
Working with deans, directors and staff to achieve student enrollment goals.
Working with academic affairs and marketing in identifying and implementing new programs annually.
Building a successful team with site personnel.
Communication to and from all staff.
Serving students well and meeting retention goals within non-traditional programs.
Lead and facilitate efforts to establish community relationships/partnerships with major corporations, hospitals/health systems, educational providers, churches and agencies to meet goals.
Facilitate connections for Spring Arbor University to build partnerships and consortiums with community colleges.
Identify organizations for internships and placement in coordination with the department of student success and career development office.
Identify potential donors and corporate giving opportunities.

REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES Reporting directly to the Vice President for Enrollment Management. May be asked to present to the President’s Cabinet and work directly with Cabinet members regarding their areas of oversight (academic, finance, retention and career, facility).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises staff personnel within department, responsible for year-end performance evaluations of all assigned personnel/staff, responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the sites; may supervise student workers to meet the needs of the department; carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Expertise with MS Office; ability to prioritize, complete multiple tasks and possess good interpersonal, communication with individual and groups, possessing good writing skills and have the ability to work well with a wide range of external constituents. Must be well oriented to records systems and their implementation including data processing applications. Counseling/interview skills, to address staff, student and faculty issues as needed. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree required, Master's degree preferred. Understanding of or experience with higher education institutions required; administrative, marketing, and enrollment experience preferred; demonstrated collaborative efforts working with other departments and institutions/corporations required; experience in hiring of personnel preferable; familiar with non-traditional educational delivery systems desirable.
