The Office of the Associate Provost of Enrollment and Academic Strategic Planning is seeking a Senior Learning Experience Designer to support the development and launch of the Spartan One-Stop. The primary purpose of the One-Stop is to provide integrated student services regarding Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Registrar with future consideration to expand the service model to include other key offices (e.g. Admissions, Academic Advising, etc.) to promote a personalized and unified student experience and a culture that supports student success. The ideal candidate is to provide project management and learning experience design through the Spartan One-Stop development phase. As part of the project management duties, this role will serve as a primary liaison among IT and subject matter experts for the technology implementation. As part of this role the Sr. Learning Exp. Designer will serve as a lead to develop and facilitate relevant training materials related to technology, process, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Process Mapping
Research existing customer service models by process-mapping in the areas of student accounts, registrar, and financial aid offices
Conducts instructional design research on end-users, analyzes data, and identifies obstacles within the instructional area.
Creates personas via insights on end-user populations and background for use by multiple projects.
Collaborates with IT Project Manager to support the technology integration phase of this initiative by working closely with stakeholders to maintain a human-centered design and achieves operational objectives by contributing information, change management requirements, and integration timelines, preparing and completing action plans.
Recruits end-users, stakeholders, including executive sponsors, to participate in the design process.
Develop & facilitate sustainable training materials
Develop foundational customer service training materials and facilitate all staff training sessions.
Develop and deliver appropriate training materials around the tools with student and internal customers in mind.
Develop sustainable service data collecting mechanisms in order to develop regular continuous improvements in training materials.
Develop professional development and continual learning programs to support staff success and achieving career goals.
Designs and maintains documentation for the use in future initiatives or iterative purposes.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four year college degree program in learning experience design research, education, curriculum, educational technology, educational psychology, instructional design, communication, organizational development or related field; three to five years of related and progressively more responsible expansive work of experience in an educational setting; experience in current curricular models, instructional design frameworks, and assessment methods; an experience in teaching, learning experience design, and/or design; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
