Specific Job Title: Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs

Job Summary:
The Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs position will serve as a key liaison with enrolled undergraduate students, faculty, and administrators, including the leadership of the Tobin College of Business (Tobin), the University's Registrar, and administrators from other colleges within the University. The Assistant Dean will support Tobin undergraduate program outreach at the University and will work collaboratively with the Tobin College's undergraduate program team, and undergraduate program leadership.
The Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs works as a team member with the other administrators and staff in the Undergraduate Program Office; serves on committees; and assists the Associate Dean of Academic Programs with the planning and implementation of continuous improvement activities, an improved advising model, and a strategic plan for the Undergraduate Program Office.
The Assistant Dean will represent Tobin's undergraduate programs at open houses and accepted student days.
Essential Functions:
Advise undergraduate business majors individually on program specific requirements and pre-requisites necessary for graduation from the Bachelor of Science program.
Enhance the productivity of the Undergraduate Program Office team and facilitate a student-focused environment in that Office.
Work closely with the Career Center to ensure that students are aware of the tools available to them as they look to find internship and permanent employment opportunities.
Obtain data from Banner to provide reports requested by Dean and Academic Departments to facilitate membership in Honor Societies, Institutes (AFI), EIRP, etc.
Work with other internal University constituents, including the Registrar, Resident Life, Counseling Center, International Student Services, Freshman Center, and Admissions, to increase diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging within the Tobin College of Business.
Treat all people in a manner that promotes the University initiatives with regard to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This position is full-time, and the expected hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. but this position may require longer hours and weekend work.
Travel
The Assistant Dean may be required to attend forums and conferences. Local travel may include visits to the other New York campuses. Travel to conferences and forums that is out-of-area may require overnight stays.
Required Education and Experience:
Master's degree and 5-10 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficient in Banner or comparable academic software packages.
Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office/365.
Experience with undergraduate business education markets and environments.
Experience collaborating on design of promotional materials in online platforms preferred.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual/hourly salary range for this position is $66,000 - $72,000.
