General Description:
The College PeopleSoft ERP Business Systems Analyst serves as a primary functional systems resource to assigned pillars (Human Capital Management and Finance). The role serves as a liaison among department staff, project stakeholders, and the state project team to elicit, analyze, communicate, prioritize, clarify, validate, and document requirements for changes to business processes and information systems in support of college objectives. The role assists with project and change management as assigned, produces training/job aids supporting SME/end user goals, and assists with knowledge transfer to employees where needed. This role is one of two business analysts supporting functionality of the PeopleSoft ERP.
This role will act primarily as a functional analyst - providing assigned pillars support in onboarding/offboarding personnel with appropriate systems access, analyzing workflow efficiency, deepening SME use of PeopleSoft features, researching and helping to develop desk guides with new features, and providing analysis in solving PS-related helpdesk tickets for assigned pillars. In addition, this role will serve as consultation and support for PeopleSoft integrations with bolt-on and supplemental system technologies.
Essential Functions:
Serve as primary support of PeopleSoft functionality within assigned pillars.
Work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement functional strategies and solutions as well as supporting advanced usage of solutions and tools.
Conduct workflow efficiency audits to ensure appropriate access for functional roles on a regularly scheduled basis.
Provide regular reporting to Supervisor and College leadership regarding PeopleSoft functionality when requested.
In collaboration with IT staff, provide functional support for bolt on technologies including NeoGov, future acquired budgeting software, etc.
Working with the IT developer where needed, act as the functional lead in supporting PeopleSoft modules and SME goals.
Coordinate with department managers and other system analysts and the pillar leads to identify needs, changes, testing, priorities, and training of system implementation and upgrades.
Work with ITS staff on data validation, integration, and acceptance testing where needed.
As needed, create ad hoc queries and reports using PeopleSoft Query and other Business intelligence and data analysis tools in support of department/college objectives.
Work closely with local project leads and state resources to support assigned pillars.
Under direction of Supervisor, provide change management functions and collaborate across the college to promote business process analysis aimed at continuous improvement.
Under direction of Supervisor and in collaboration with department SMEs, provide system and functional configurations as needed within the assigned modules and work closely with state personnel support desk analysts as needed.
Assist PM in ensuring successful optimization of the ERP.
Lead, review, and test updates including working with end users on new functionality and determine effect on current systems and business processes.
Work will focus on functional services within PeopleSoft.
Determine ticketing escalation to SBCTC for assigned areas and follow up as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered at the discretion of the college.
Bachelor's degree in information technology (or substitute Associate degree in information technology plus 3 years' experience), knowledge management, business systems, or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Minimum of three years of experience in a technical or functional role providing business analysis and systems support for an administrative information system and/or ERP.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced training post Bachelor's in information technology, knowledge management, business systems, or closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience supporting higher education information systems.
Functional experience in PeopleSoft's Finance and/or Human Capital Management modules, including PeopleSoft Query and security and user preferences.
Experience with change/project management and/or business process improvement solutions and tools.
Certification(s) or other advanced training in SQL.
Extensive experience (5+ years) in a technical or functional role providing business analysis and systems support for an administrative information system and/or ERP.
Conditions/Terms of Employment
This is a full-time exempt professional position. Persons hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of lawful authorization to work in the United States within three (3) days of employment. Work is performed generally in office and/or open cubicle areas. Sitting at a desk or computer station, standing and walking, and light lifting are required. There are onsite requirements during critical implementation activities that will occur both during the week and on a few weekends. Duties require the use of standard office furniture and office equipment (e.g., computers, projectors, web cams, etc.)Exposure to hazards is limited to those commonly found in office environments. This contract position work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday 8-hours each day. During the summer, work schedule is Monday through Thursday 10-hours each day. Occasional nights and weekends. Occasional overnight travel.
Compensation:
Annual salary range: $83,000-$87,000. The college has an excellent benefit program including paid sick leave; paid vacation leave; medical, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance; retirement and two optional deferred compensation programs. All full-time employees will automatically have 3% of taxable income deferred into the State of Washington Deferred Compensation Program (DCP). All administrative exempt staff set aside 1% of their gross salary in a Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) (VEBA). All exempt employees are required to participate in this program. Walla Walla Community College requires all employees to participate in direct deposit for payment of salary.
