Position Summary/Description:
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks innovative and accomplished candidates for the position of Director of Enrollment Communications and Strategy. This senior leadership position reports directly to the Vice Provost for Enrollment. This is a unique opportunity to develop and implement the marketing and communications strategy for prospective and enrolled students.
The Enrollment Division includes the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid, the Office of the University Registrar, and the Carolina College Advising Corps. The Director is responsible for defining the communications and marketing strategy to support the goals of the Enrollment Division. As an Enrollment leader, the Director will serve as a strategic advisor to the Vice Provost for Enrollment and the Enrollment leadership team and will: * Define the Enrollment communications strategy and plan, including key messages; print, electronic, and social media campaigns; and standards for reviewing and tracking the effectiveness of initiatives. * Direct communications within the Enrollment offices, supervising the Enrollment communications team, providing central support to individual offices, identifying communications resources to be shared, and ensuring the accuracy and consistency of communication to all audiences, including prospective and current students. * Serve as campus coordinator of communications to continuing students through leadership of a working group of communications colleagues in partner offices to define strategies, streamline outreach, and ensure consistent messaging to students. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with the university's central communications team members and other communications colleagues across campus to encourage sharing of resources and message alignment to this important audience. * Serve as primary communications liaison for Enrollment to the Vice Chancellor of Communications, the University's Media Relations team, and the Provost, and Chancellor's Offices. * Oversee, write, and edit various electronic and print communications, including presentations, content for press releases, website content, social media, and other materials. * Oversee and support the publicity and marketing of events. * Provide communications support for the Carolina College Advising Corps. * Manage all media inquiries to the Enrollment Division.

Education and Experience:
Broad understanding of trends and concepts in enrollment management, admissions, financial aid strategy, and associated issues in higher education is strongly preferred. Experience in staff supervision and development is preferred.
