Bullis School seeks a Middle School Language Arts Teacher to contribute to our vibrant learning community for the 2023-24 academic year. Candidates should be capable of teaching a wide range of learners with a specific focus on implementing a robust and engaging curriculum in language arts focused on developing strong skills, habits and personal identities in reading and writing. This position involves teaching five classes, as well as co-curricular activities including advising eight to twelve students.

Additionally, students develop writing proficiency in multiple genres as they learn to revise their writing for appropriate audiences, support their claims with evidence, improve syntax, and deepen their confidence in application of conventions.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in English Language Arts, Humanities, or related field (required)
Master’s Degree in English Language Arts, Humanities, or related field (preferred)
Minimum of 2-3 years teaching experience in middle or secondary education (preferred)
Teaching certificates are not required
