Position Summary:

• Conducts events and seminars to educate and attract new students to the department.
• The Senior Program Administrator will also supervise a part-time Academic Advisor and will train and manage this part-time position to accomplish day-to-day advising tasks.
• Work closely with the department Chair, Vice Chairs, Undergraduate Academic Director, and faculty.
• Creates more efficient and productive processes for students, faculty and staff, such as the development of new electronic systems.
• The position's primary responsibility is to oversee the day-to-day advising, as well as develop new programs and resources focused on student learning and supporting students in attaining their educational and career goals and maintaining relationships with other Academic Departments within the School of Arts and Sciences and the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Master's degree in student counseling, college student personnel, psychology, social work, education, higher education administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience working as an Academic Advisor at the collegiate level. Knowledge and understanding of first year and probation student populations and programs, student development and counseling theories and applications, and workshop design and presentation.

• IMS, Microsoft Office Suite, Sakai, WebNow, lmageNow, MyAdvisor, and Degree Navigator are used in a daily capacity in desktop, laptop, and mobile platforms. Various customized databases are used daily, including the re- enrollment database.
