Serve as a Coordinator of Fraternity and Sorority Affairs through advisement of the Panhellenic Council (13 organizations). This position is one of 4 professional staff members devoted to the over 4,500 of undergraduate students involved in 47 fraternity and sorority organizations at Oklahoma State University.
The Panhellenic Council is known for creating a thriving nationally-recognized community of sorority members who are dedicated to sisterhood, scholarship, leadership, and philanthropy at OSU.
Responsibilities include: • Assist Greek-letter organizations and Council leaders in the development, implementation, and follow through of annual goals and objectives that align with community objectives. • Advise and support the various programming efforts of Council leaders. • Provide oversight and assistance of all leadership development initiatives with the fraternity/sorority community including but not limited to chapter president workshops, Junior Greek Leadership, Fraternity & Sorority Productions, Greek Discovery Days, and Order of Omega. • Works independently and collaboratively in the areas of risk prevention/mitigation to assure the health and safety of all members of the OSU community. • Evaluation of individual sororities & fraternities utilizing the OSU Community Standards Program and Fraternity & Sorority Awards Program. • Evaluation and assessment of community and council programs. • Dissemination of information to community members, alumni/alumnae, OSU faculty/staff, and Stillwater community. • Assist student leaders with the creation and oversight of budgets for governing Councils and leadership programs. • Assist, administer, and maintain the University required records for fraternity and sorority organizations. • Perform and conduct research into fraternity & sorority related areas to assure best practices for fraternity/sorority programs. • Responsible for marketing fraternity/sorority programs and for assisting various University departments in their efforts to recruit students via participation in high school visits and sponsoring on campus events for high school students. • Supervise Graduate Assistants.
Required: Bachelor's degree and two years experience.
Preferred: Master's degree in college student development, higher education, or related field. Fraternity or sorority affiliation.
