Located on the flagship campus of the Indiana University system, SPH-B has more than 2500 enrolled undergraduate and 380 graduate students, 200 faculty, and 95 staff in five departments (Applied Health Science, Environmental and Occupational Health, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Health & Wellness Design, and Kinesiology). We are in a period of profound growth, as we have hired more than 30 new tenure-track faculty in the last three years. Job Summary
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Leads existing bi-weekly information sessions and broadens the scope of these sessions to include faculty features and topic-based presentations.
Creates and procures promotional materials for recruitment fairs and graduate student onboarding events.
Develops external student engagement efforts by assisting with recruitment fairs and CRM email campaigns.
Coordinates admissions and recruitment events, including preview days, individual visit requests, and new student orientation.
Assists with collecting recruitment-focused website content updates from academic departments.
Helps manage inquiries and applications as needed during peak application season.
General Responsibilities
Oversees the processing and evaluation of all applications for admissions into that school and accompanying material, such as transcripts, to determine eligibility.
Maintains records and databases of applications; updates and purges as necessary; gathers and collates information from records and prepares reports.
Reviews applications for completeness, contacts applicants for any missing information or to resolve discrepancies, and obtains any necessary information from other sources.
Schedules and oversees any applicant interviews.
Makes recommendations regarding admissions and financial aid decisions; contacts applicant regarding the decision on the admission application.
Responds to phone and email inquiries on admissions process and status of applications; may assist in the design of recruiting events and materials.
Counsels potential students regarding courses and grades required for admission.
May supervise temporary staff in the admissions office; monitors and evaluates job performance.
Maintains files and databases on students admitted into the school; generates reports based on this information.
May take on escalated and complex issues; may provide guidance to other admissions staff.

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
