Job Description The Assistant Director for Curriculum and Academic Programs reports to and supports Kilachand Honors Colleges Director and Associate Directors, with particular attention to curricular design and assessment. The Assistant Director will ensure the Colleges continued pedagogical innovation, including supporting the Colleges commitment to interdisciplinary team-teaching, novel approaches to alternative grading strategies and learning-based assessment, and experiential learning.
This position will also bridge the academic and student services arms of the College. The Assistant Director will administer the Keystone Project Program, which requires mentoring and supporting 100-140 students engaged in senior projects, communicating with faculty advisors, and chairing the Keystone Review Committee. The Assistant Director will also Chair the Curriculum Review Committee and typically teach four to six credits each semester, or no more than ten credits distributed across the year, at various levels of the Kilachand curriculum. The Assistant Director will lead one of the course teams (301, 302, 401, or senior seminar), coordinate the Kilachand Postdoctoral Associates Program, and serve on the editorial board of the Colleges magazine, Kaleidoscope.
