Job Description Reporting to the Director of Professional Education, the Assistant Director, Admissions & LEAP has primary responsibility for LEAP, a unique program which enables students from non-engineering backgrounds to earn a masters degree in engineering. This includes recruitment, admissions, enrollment and current student support. In addition, this position is responsible for developing & executing creative and impactful recruitment marketing activities to achieve annual masters enrollment goals.
This position has primary responsibility for the LEAP program
Generating and engaging prospective LEAP students through a variety of recruitment marketing activities and converting them to applicants and enrolled students.
Developing & executing lead generation efforts, including program webinars, current student panels and other recruitment activities to yield enrolled students
Establish a robust LEAP Ambassador program to leverage current students and provide recruitment support
Work with the Associate Director of Enrollment Operations to move LEAP applications through the admissions process, including referrals to LEAP from other programs
Developing & supporting a robust experience for LEAP students throughout their foundational program and successful transition to the masters degree.
Develop & execute LEAP orientation program for new students
Primary point of contact for LEAP students, referring to other depts/faculty as needed.
Monitor progress through program to transition to masters degree, including academic success.
Monitoring and connecting with LEAP alums to generate employment data useful for recruitment efforts and to leverage networks for current students.
Develop & maintain LEAP alumni database
Plan & execute events to connect current LEAP students to alumni
Recruitment Marketing:
Primary responsibility for the build out, maintenance and improvement of the CRM system to support masters and LEAP recruitment efforts.
Develop marketing content, including social media and video to support organic and paid digital marketing campaigns and COE website.
Work with digital marketing vendor to create new messaging and content to drive applications for R&AS and LEAP.
Create in-person & virtual events to drive inquiries, applications and to yield enrolled students
Assist in the development of recruitment materials, including print collateral and website content to support program marketing
Create reports out of the CRM to identify metrics, analyze results and make recommendations for improvements
Required Skills A cover letter is required for consideration.
5+ years of experience working in admissions, student recruitment or related field in higher education
Experience with admissions recruitment and small and large group presentations required
Ability to work and travel during peak admissions season for recruitment purposes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle the demands of a fast-paced, multi-faceted, changing environment
Sensitivity to the needs of a diverse student population, including minority and international students
Ability to identify students' needs for support services in order to make appropriate referrals
Advanced facility with CRM platforms, and tools to support data analysis
Graphic design experience preferred
