Responsibilities:
The Academic Program Administrator provides support for student services and academic support in the School of Public Policy and Urban Affairs (SPPUA) within the College of Social Sciences and Humanities (CSSH). This includes providing program support for graduate students in SPPUA's five Master's and Ph.D. programs. The Academic Program Administrator works with CSSH Graduate Office on University and College level on admissions and recruitment. They will support recruitment efforts, graduate admissions, data tracking of admissions, and student advising (in conjunction with related faculty). The Academic Program Administrator is part of a team that plans and participates in student-centered events including orientation and recruitment. They also handle general program administration and monitor student progress.
The Academic Program Administrator reports to the Manager of Student Services and Academic Support to support curriculum changes, accreditation, and assessment of classroom instruction and student outcomes, in particular with respect to online graduate courses. In addition, they will work with the School and College staff on program marketing and student recruitment strategies.
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree, and at least two years of experience working in a higher education setting.
Degree in higher education administration, career development, or similar preferred, as are strong verbal, statistical, and analytical skills and experience.
Must be detail-oriented and able to work independently. Must possess excellent computer skills and experience working with databases.
