Position Details:
Summary of Duties:
The Academic Success and Career Center invites candidates to apply for an Internship Coordinator to develop and implement internship and experiential learning activities within the university. Assists with overall planning and operational activities of the program. Coordinates internship placement with employers, conducts in-progress assessment of student success in the internship environment, and evaluates the total internship experience, primarily using course facilitation, surveys, and exit interviews. Advises students on various aspects of career development and entering the world of work, including resume writing and interviewing skills. The successful candidate will begin as either a Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1 or a Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 2 depending on their level of experience.
Required Qualifications:
Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 1:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Student Services Coordinator/Advisor 2:
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Ability to create, plan, implement, and manage experiential learning programs.
Effective written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to work some evening and weekend hours.
Preferred Qualifications for All Candidates:
Master's degree
Working knowledge of recruiting, career services, career development, or student development.
Display creativity, initiative, and positive attitude in carrying out responsibilities.
Experience working with employers and industry partners.
Experience teaching and developing university-level courses.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
