The Program Manager, under direction, serves as the advisor responsible for a student-driven committee providing entertainment programming (music concerts, comedy concerts, etc.) that targets Texas A&M University students. Provides professional and specialized skills for planning, developing, implementing, and managing student development programs and activities. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years’ experience in student affairs work or related specialty area with a Bachelor’s Degree.
Three years’ experience in student affairs work or related specialty area with a Master’s Degree.
Experience in concert settings will be considered.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must be able to communicate with a broad range of people, both verbally and in writing.
Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.
Budgeting, fundraising, organizational skills, volunteer training and management, student development theory and practice.
Understanding of contract negotiation and programming management.
Knowledge of the MSC and TAMU surrounding community, relationship with community organizations.

From its inception in 1950, the Memorial Student Center has been the hub of campus activity. The MSC Student Programs Office currently sponsors 18 programming committees producing 100+ events annually, with nearly 1,000 student leaders.
