The Learning Experience Project Manager (LE PM) Integrated Scheduler supports the development and management of project schedules for online course development and other projects in University of Washington Continuum College (UWC²) LE team. The qualified candidate has experience developing realistic and achievable integrated project schedules. This individual is comfortable with ambiguity and a product development environment, and has a desire to improve the online and hybrid learning experience for students at all stages of life.
The person in this role will work with a team focused on: Success of the learner, not driven by shareholder priorities Increasing access to learners at all stages of life and under-served communities Establishing a project management team for the UWC² LE team in a startup environment
Responsibilities Project Planning Lead schedule-related LE project intake and commitment activities -Collaboratively develop realistic and achievable integrated project schedules that include the following: -Work breakdown structure (WBS) -Project dependencies -Buffer management -Baseline and change management -Resource assignment and management -Scenario planning capability -Ensure project risks, issues, and opportunities (RIOs) are identified and accounted for in schedule
Project Execution Maintain and provide visibility of integrated project schedules Determine and clearly communicate project health, performance, and needs by compiling and analyzing schedule data Collaborate with team and leadership to ensure resources are available to achieve project outcomes Proactively identify and collaboratively solve complex scheduling problems with team members and stakeholders Effectively utilize scheduling and project management software and tools Identify and address help needed by teams and remove roadblocks
Project Management Process & Tool Development Develop, document, execute, and optimize scheduling and project management processes and tools, including: -WBS development and integrated scheduling processes -Scheduling frameworks, and templates where appropriate -RIO & Change Management processes -Portfolio health and performance measures, metrics, dashboard, and visibility -Project management system evaluation (e.g., MS Project Online Plan 5), selection, and implementation Provide guidance, coaching, and training in the use of scheduling tools and processes
Participate in project teams, committees, or other Continuum-wide or UW-wide initiatives
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of combined experience in integrated scheduling or equivalent experience Experience using project management and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Milestones etc.) Strong relationship building and collaboration skills with diverse team members
