Middle School Coordinator and Learning Specialist in the Learning Resource Center
CGPS is seeking a full-time Learning Specialist and Coordinator to work one-on-one with students in grades 5-7 and lead the Middle School Learning Resource Center.
Responsibilities
Coordinate support for students with learning disabilities in grades 5-7
Identify students in need of support and coordinate a plan with the leadership team
Assess and track student progress
Work closely with other members of the learning support team, Deans, the Middle School Director and the Middle School Assistant Director
Collaborate and maintain active communication with students' families
Review and interpret psycho-educational evaluations and recommendations
Create and coordinate learning plans
Work with individual and small groups of students both inside and outside of the classroom
Support students’ development primarily in reading, writing, and mathematics
Support students in study skills and work habits through a variety of subject area courses
Support faculty in the understanding of learning profiles
Differentiate classroom instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners in the community
Share in park/lunch/special class coverage
Attend Faculty & Team meetings
Work Hours
School Year ‘23-24, 7:45am - 4:00pm
Weekly faculty and department meetings - until 4:30pm
Start Date: August 28th, 2023
Compensation
The salary range for this position is $71,000 - $118,500. We offer exceptional benefits and a warm and supportive culture.

Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Special Education with a concentration in Learning Disabilities
Minimum of 3 years of full-time teaching experience with students with learning disabilities in grades 5-7
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience reading and interpreting psycho-educational evaluations to identify student needs
Experience leading a department of learning specialists
