Job Duties:
Teaching assignment may include a full range of courses within the Geography discipline.
Teaching assignment may include a full range of undergraduate courses such Earth Science, Human Geography, Introduction to Meteorology, Global Sustainability, World Regional Geography, and Geographic Information Systems.
Teaching assignment may include day, evening, weekend, and/or on-line courses.
Teaching responsibilities include teaching courses, maintaining scheduled office hours, advising students, developing curriculum, participating in College service, and professional development activities.
Leadership in developing and improving our academic courses.
Community service is encouraged.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree or higher in Geography or Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate credits in Geography or related coursework with course content required.
All academic degrees must be from a regionally accredited college or university.
Ability to maintain good relationships with students, staff, and community members.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience at the community college level.
Experience and/or interest in using multi-media/new instructional technology in the classroom.
Experience and/or interest in online course development and instruction.
Experience and interest in utilizing Learning Management Systems for course enhancement or delivery.
Academic leadership experience.
Interest in participating in College’s STEM and Challenger Center initiatives.
