About the Department
The University of Cincinnati, Carl H. Lindner College of Business is currently accepting applications for a Program Coordinator. This position works with both our Undergraduate Programs (UPO) and Career Services Offices. UPO is responsible for recruitment, orientation, retention, academic advising, and evaluation and maintenance of student records for Carl H. Lindner College of Business undergraduate students. The UPO handles the creation and maintenance of online resources and curriculum-related materials that empower students and delivers a mandatory First Year Experience Program to all Lindner freshmen. Additionally, the UPO coordinates events to meet the needs of both for prospective and current students. Lindner Career Services facilitates all aspects of our co-op and career development for undergraduate and graduate business students. Lindner Career Services teaches multiple career success courses and coordinates activities related to employer relations, including on-campus recruiting, job development, and corporate visits.
Job Overview
The Program Coordinator will work closely with staff involved in the areas above to support the efforts of the Lindner team. Primarily areas of responsibility will include: event coordination, approval of interview schedules for companies wishing to visit campus to interview students, job board position approvals, purchasing card transactions, business affairs/financial coordination, data reporting and communication efforts.
This position presents an opportunity to support initiatives across the student experience. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing multiple projects, working with strong teams, completing administrative tasks and handling detailed financial information. Candidates should be comfortable with learning and utilizing university systems such as Handshake, Slate, Catalyst, etc. Candidate will also need to be proficient in Excel.
This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule pending department approval.
Essential Functions
Design/create and conduct seminars, classes, workshops or programs.
Oversee and manage the on-campus recruiting program using the Handshake database for companies wishing to visit campus.
Provide support and coordination of student service events; Honors Interviews, Major/Minor fairs, college day, freshman orientation, and graduation.
Develop program objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
Provide financial administrative support for program initiatives. This involves but not limited to the coordination of contracts and request for payments, ordering office supplies, purchasing card transactions.
Update Lindner websites and listservs related to student services.
Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports.
Interact with staff faculty, external agencies and other university departments.
May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
Provide administrative support to the Student Services staff.
Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree.
Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
One (1) year of program coordination experience.
