The Student Success Center's Success Coach is responsible for the tracking, assisting, and monitoring the progress of an assigned cohort of students. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to providing advisement support, developing and conducting workshops, monitoring student academic progress, supporting continuous student enrollment, and ensuring students receive information on available academic and student support services. Documentation of services and student progress is an essential requirement of this position. Evening and/or weekend hours may be required.

Typical Work Activities:
Provide support for participants on both a scheduled and drop-in basis to include but not limited to providing information, support, and resources about advisement, academic requirements, financial aid, career planning, employment, and 4-year college transfer.
Use a case management approach to guiding students in managing their academic experience and engaging them in activities that support their success (tutoring, personal counseling, workshops on self-management, etc.).
Monitor and document student progress at the College through frequent individual meetings, monitoring of mid-term reports, and advance registration.
Serve as a technical resource for faculty and staff to identify campus connections and resources that foster student retention.
Support activities related to the enrollment process, orientation, advisement and additional functions as required by the Assistant Vice President of Student Services.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:
Ability to relate to a diverse student population; ability to relate to all members of the college staff and faculty; ability to manage multiple functions; ability to operate computers; ability to prepare and make presentations to groups, ability to prepare written reports, ability to physically perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Education or Counseling OR
Bachelor's Degree and the equivalent of four months (one semester) full-time experience working in an educational environment;
Demonstrable effective written communication skills;
Experience interacting with a diverse population.
