Position Summary: This position reports to the Director of Dual Credit and is the initial and primary contact for dual credit students to advise eligible students, support student registration, improve student achievement, retention, and academic success. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, energized, and motivated while working strategically with diverse colleagues, students, and community members to ensure student success.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
Experience advising students at the high school and/or college level
Experience with student outreach and support particular to historically excluded students
Experience in areas of admissions, recruitment, and/or enrollment, and student retention strategies and initiatives
Experienced in working independently and accurately on detailed tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters Degree
Experience with dual credit/concurrent enrollment programs
Knowledge of and belief in the mission of student-centered approach to education
Experience working directly with high school faculty and staff
Ability to work with high school and college faculty and staff to meet goals
Knowledge of Idaho General Education courses and statewide graduation policies
Maintain exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize activities, and the flexibility to make adjustments in response to change
Knowledge of university systems (e.g. student record systems)
Exhibit excellent decision making and problem-solving skills.
Display excellent communication skills, sufficient to explain policies, procedures, and practices and to sustain superb customer interactions
Demonstrated skills in oral, written, individual and group communication.
Experience in the use of computer application software to include word processing, spreadsheets, databases and student information systems
Proven ability to develop and maintain accurate data reports.
Experience interacting collegial with colleagues, students, and community members of diverse backgrounds
