Job Summary: | Handles the administrative activities of graduate degree program(s) and/or certificate(s). Performs activities which may include recruitment, admissions, new student orientation, academic advising, monitoring progress towards the degree, course and/or enrollment management, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, funding, course and/or program assessment, training grants, and academic program review. May oversee staff and/or graduate program functions. |
Responsibilities: | Coordinates established administrative activities of graduate degree program(s) and/or certificate(s). Performs activities which may include: recruitment, admissions, new student orientation, academic advising, monitoring of progress towards the degree, course and/or enrollment management, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, funding, course and/or program assessment, and academic program review. - 10% Serves as the first point of contact to applicants, current students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders of an academic program
- 25% Serves as a resource to graduate students. Assists with improving the student experience and the overall graduate program
- 20% Coordinates programming, services, and events to promote professional development and academic success
- 10% Provides basic advising services promoting graduate student success, retention, and degree completion. Advises on programs, graduate education, and university policies, processes, and procedures. Monitors degree progress and assists students in navigating resources and systems throughout the student lifecycle from matriculation to degree completion
- 20% Assists with preparation of graduate student funding including, but not limited to, fellowships, scholarships, training grants, or assistantships from department, university, and/or outside sponsors
- 5% Maintains compliance with graduate program(s), school/college, and university requirements and technology systems related to admissions, assessment, academic degree progress/requirements, and program review
- 10% Serves as curricular Rep: manage the timetable for all Nutritional Sciences and crosslisted course, update the Guide annually, and manage program proposal updates for Department of Nutritional Sciences Programs.
