The Director will provide leadership and assistance for the Minnesota State Community and Technical College (M State) Intercultural Affairs and the college's effort to intentionally remove barriers and develop strategies for the success of individuals from historically underrepresented populations. The position reports to and is supervised by the Dean of Equity and Inclusion. The Director will provide oversight and coordination with campus partners and the college community to develop and implement a comprehensive justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion education program. This individual is expected to ensure there is extensive collaboration with community and campus partners who provide education, services, support and resources to faculty, staff, student, and the college community. The location for this position is the Moorhead Campus.
Duties include working with the dean of equity and inclusion to strategically assess the campus climate to proactively create data informed interventions, shift campus culture, accessibility services for students and direct educational development initiatives that are in alignment with the college's equity and inclusion values. The Director is responsible for the on-going professional development and oversight of the intercultural center. Additionally, the director is responsible for the development of programs and divisional initiatives, and the creation of publications addressing diversity and equity issues. The Director must be diplomatic, strategic, organized, creative, visionary, inclusive, equitable and fundamentally a facilitator and educator driven to deliver results focused on justice, diversity, equity, inclusion, and organizational change.

Responsibilities:
· Live the mission, vision and values of M State to ensure a positive experience for all students and stakeholders. Service to M State students and stakeholders is a core component of the position and work responsibilities.
· Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision and evaluation of the associate directors and accessibility services coordinators.
· Recognition of broad and varied professional responsibilities which include but are not limited to support for campus and college operations such as: front desk coverage, registration events, Spartan Welcome Days, Commencement, this is not an exhaustive list.
· Provide leadership in the development of an equity and inclusion plan as part of the college's strategic plan.
· Identify, direct, and promote inclusive work and learning environments through organizational wide education, professional speakers, webinars for faculty, staff, and students in alignment with institutional values and strategic priorities.
· Collaborate with student life to create an inclusive campus climate through programming and student organizations.
· Work with faculty and the campus inclusion advisory group to identify barriers for academic equity and implement intentional equity, diversity, and inclusion strategies to diversify pedagogical approaches in the classroom and reduce incidents of exclusionary classroom experiences.
· Serve as Deputy Title IX coordinator, if appointed by the Title IX Coordinator, and assist with reporting, processing, and equitable sanctioning of sexual misconduct offenses.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in any field
Minimum of three (3) year of demonstrated experience developing, leading, or managing programs that advance justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations
Demonstrated experience developing and facilitating professional development programs, workshops, trainings.
Ability to act as a diplomatic, equitable, and ethical professional.
Ability to monitor, measure, and report program effectiveness through data and statistics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in any field.
Experience directing/supervising staff and implementation of professional development and programming.
Knowledge of restorative, social justice and student development theory.
Mediation and conflict resolution experience.
Demonstrated ability to seek and obtain external resources.
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design and teaching and instruction of groups including measurement of training effects.
