Position Summary:
The Employer Relations Coordinator works directly with the Career Services team to manage, coordinate logistics, and execute events hosted by Career Services. This position requires direct contact with employers, students, campus partners, and alumni. Additionally, this position oversees the online recruiting platform, Handshake, along with all social media and marketing efforts. The position will also provide office and administrative support for Career Services, and supervise, train, and lead a small team of student workers.
This individual will be required to take initiative and work independently with a high level of energy. A strong interest in student development, eagerness to assist others, and a willingness to learn new skills are crucial to be successful in this role. Willingness to collaborate, be flexible and maintain a sense of humor are all attributes this candidate should possess. This position will be considered for scheduling flexibility to work in a hybrid capacity based on staffing, time of year, and business needs. Salary range for this position: $50,000-55,000
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A bachelor's degree is required. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups, including employers, staff, faculty, alumni and students. Excellent writing skills. Possess previous experience coordinating, managing and executing events. Demonstrated experience recruiting, supervising, leading, and managing individuals. Must be highly organized and have demonstrated ability to manage time effectively to meet competing demands of a multi-faceted day. Demonstrated experience working with constituents and developing relationships with internal and external partners. Knowledge of and enthusiasm for working with technology is also required.
A master's degree is preferred. It is preferred, but not required, that candidates possess previous experience working on a college campus, managing multiple events congruently, and working within a team environment. It is also preferred candidates possess basic understanding of the student development process and have previous experience training and supervising student employees and/or volunteers.
