The Office of the University Registrar (OUR) serves to ensure academic integrity by communicating institutional policies and is a resource for all members of the college community. Reporting to the University Director of Records and Policy (Deputy University Registrar), the University Student Records Manager provides leadership within OUR by supervising dedicated staff and the daily operations of select university-wide student records systems, serving as a central resource for CUNY Registrar???s Offices, and overseeing initiatives and correspondence between central administration and campus communities. This position supports excellence in student services at every opportunity.
Key responsibilities of the University Student Records Manager include but are not limited to :
Oversee all End of Term processes which may include collection of grades, academic action communications, and processes functions of Deans List, Honors, Awards, and Post Enrollment Requisite Checking
Oversee the graduation audit process for both Undergraduate and Graduate candidates; manage staff , review and recommend enhancements to processes, and ensure that necessary resources are readily available
As an office leader, convey the Office???s vision and execute the strategic objectives of OUR
Train and develop entry- and mid-level staff; analyze and delegate assignments to ensure maximum utilization of team
Provide governance in designing, developing, and implementing technologies to enhance and support records and registrations services
Project outcomes for services offered at the program, department/division, or campus level; measure and evaluate effectiveness of student services and prepare reports for executive decision-making.
Participate in the collection, entry, and retrieval of student record data as directed by the Registrar; maintain confidentiality of all student, associate, and/or University information
Represent the Registrar at key meetings with Deans and Department Chairs, and act on his/her behalf as directed
1) Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work on-site in the office. 2) Candidates will be required to provide proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 upon commencing employment. Exemption (medical or religious) requests to this requirement will be considered in accordance with applicable law. Being fully vaccinated is defined for this purpose as being at least two weeks past their final dose of an authorized COVID-19 vaccine regimen. Final candidates must be fully vaccinated as of their first day of employment.
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required.
The successful candidate will have the following preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Four to six years of progressively increasing responsibilities in college admissions, application processing, academic credential evaluations, or records management, including supervising related operations
Familiarity with issues typically associated with curriculum, governance, transfer admissions, evaluations of transcripts, and granting of transfer credit
Strong aptitude for working in an online environment with customized internal computer programs and/or systems; experience using databases and reporting tools (i.e. CRM, Oracle/PeopleSoft, PeopleSoft Query, SQL and Crystal Reports)
Experience using Tableau or other analytic/statistical software package
Strong communication competencies, especially in regards to written, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, evaluative, and research skills, supplemented with ability to establish plans, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
Commitment to service excellence and professionalism
Ability to understand technical terminology and educate constituents at all organizational levels
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW
Manages one or more centralized student enrollment functions and related data, systems and technologies.
Maintains operational responsibility for centralized enrollment functions which support activities such as registration, records management, and advisement
Audits and validates business practices, data, and reports related to CUNY's primary administrative system (CUNYfirst)
Maintains consistent enrollment practices based on established policies and guidelines
Works with campus and University-level offices to coordinate student enrollment/records functions and address systems performance issues
Manages and trains staff
Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Annual salary starting between $67,784 - $82,298, commensurate with education, credentials, and experience.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Health Plan Coverage for Employees Hired on or after October 1, 2022
City of New York employees and employees of Participating Employers and their eligible dependents hired on or after October 1, 2022 will only be eligible to enroll in the Emblem Health HIP HMO Preferred Plan and must remain in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan for the first year (365 days) of employment.
After 365 days of employment, the employee will have the option of either remaining in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan or selecting a different health plan within 30 days before the end of the 365th day period. If a new health plan is selected, the new plan will be effective on the 366th day. Only after the 365th day can the employee participate in any Annual Fall Transfer Period.
An employee who needs to request an exemption from the required enrollment in the HIP HMO Preferred Plan can do so by submitting a HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form to Emblem Health. An employee, or eligible dependent, must meet certain criteria and the request must be approved by Emblem Health before the exemption is granted. The HIP HMO Opt-Out Request Form and HIP service area are available on the Emblem Health website.
