Working under the guidance of a Coordinator, Technical Training, independently provide instruction focusing on machinery and equipment; basic shop and construction skills; general mechanical subjects; blueprints and schematics; mechanical and fluid power; plumbing/piping and related equipment; HVAC topics; troubleshooting; and related systems/subjects.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
High school diploma/GED and five years' experience in commercial or industrial mechanical fields. Associate degree and/or completion of an approved apprenticeship program preferred. Teaching/training experience in commercial/industrial/facility maintenance preferred. Current credentials related to any of the following areas preferred: commercial/industrial/facility maintenance, contracting, safety, construction, environmental, HVAC, and stationary engineering. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel and Power Point.

Maintain scheduled availability to students.
Develop an individual professional development plan.
Assist other faculty in developing, managing courses, and curricula in Continuing Education.
Assist in student recruitment and selection.
Maintain laboratories, supplies and equipment.
Remain knowledgeable about the College, its structure, culture, policies, practices, and Mechanical Systems Technology.
Serve as an advocate for the College and its students, as required.
