The Opportunity
ILR Graduate programs is seeking a highly organized and adaptable professional to serve as our Executive Master of Human Resources Management (EMHRM) Coordinator. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of ILR and eCornell resources to deliver the program's marketing, recruitment,
admissions, and administrative processes. As a member of the ILR Graduate Studies team, you will ensure a positive experience for EMHRM students. You will also:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective EMHRM students. Explain EMHRM's structure and benefits and respond to questions. Build rapport with and assist applicants to assemble a highly qualified, diverse EMHRM class each year.
- Work with ILR's Communications and Marketing teams to create and implement recruitment actions that attract and yield top prospects, including innovative web-based and social media strategies.
- Maintain prospect and application flow data. Deliver weekly status metrics to key stakeholders during the recruitment/admission cycle, including assessment of effectiveness of marketing channels.
- Take the lead on logistics associated with EMHRM's residential weeks (three per year), including campus venue and hotel block booking, catering, guest speaker travel support and other work as needed.
- Ensure a positive EMHRM student experience. Respond to student questions and help students
navigate Cornell resources. Escalate issues to the Director of Graduate Enrollment and Student
Services and/or the EMHRM Executive Director as needed. Work with ILR Registrar to open courses and upload grades. - Assist with EMHRM alumni programming and communications. Maintain alumni contact directory.
- As needed to fulfill the work, coordinate with ILR Technology Services/Web Development Team,
eCornell, ILR and Cornell Communications and Marketing, Cornell Graduate School and other staff and faculty.
This is a full-time (39 hours/week) Contract College position that is based in Ithaca, NY. This position currently follows a 3:2 campus-to-home hybrid work schedule, but this may be subject to change at any point in the future. Typical work hours are 8am-4:30pm, but there may be occasional extended hours. In those instances, the successful candidate will have the option to flex time that will be mutually agreed upon.
What We Need
We are looking for a team member that is collaborative and has excellent communication and time management. Additionally, you will:
- Hold an Associate's degree and 4 to 6 years relevant experience or equivalent combination.
- Have working knowledge of social media strategies.
- Display outstanding communication skills, ability to communicate verbally and in writing with students, faculty, and staff.
- Demonstrate service orientation to contribute to outstanding student service support and a positive and productive team environment.
- Leverage excellent organizational skills to manage and prioritize multiple projects/assignments, work under pressure and meet established deadlines.
- Have strong attention to detail in order to plan, organize and coordinate multiple projects, manage events and special assignments.
- Demonstrate experience using Microsoft suite including: Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
If you possess these experiences this may be the role for you! There are a few other qualifications that we would view as incredibly helpful in this role, to include:
- Bachelor's degree, with background in recruitment, admissions, and communication or minimum of three years of related experience.
- Previous experience in higher education administration.
- Experience working with CRM databases, such as Salesforce.
