Rutgers University- Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking a Manager for Campus Activities. This position reports to the Director of the Rutgers-Newark Intercultural Resource Center. This position provides, and is not limited to programmatic and special event coordination, student advising and administrative support for the LGBTQ Student Services area, Intercultural Resource Center & staff. Responsibilities will include, and are not limited to:
Provide oversight of programming and student organization advising;
Manage the inception to execution of events (management, preparation, financials, and marketing) and supervision of graduate and undergraduate student workers;
Coordinate the Intercultural Resource Center reception area, budget accounting, and invoice processing, and data tracking for program attendance and space utilization;
Coordinate appointment scheduling and note-taking, and assistance with other programmatic offerings as needed;
Assist with the administrative and programmatic support functions of special projects, which will change from year-to-year.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of program design and execution, coordination, organization, facilitation, report analysis, writing, and promotion/outreach.
Also requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience in a program coordination or administrative function that includes coordination of work and management of people; good communication skills; and computer literacy.
