The Program in General Education is a set of courses and requirements outside the concentration (major) that all 6,500 undergraduates in Harvard College must fulfill. Courses in General Education address urgent problems or enduring questions, and are unusually explicit in connecting the subjects students study to the people they will become and the world beyond the classroom. In addition to the General Education requirement, the office supports the College's divisional distribution and Quantitative Reasoning with Data requirements.
This position will be based in Cambridge, MA and requires at least 3 days in the office. Furthermore, individual flexible and remote work options for this role will be discussed during the interview process. This position will be based in Cambridge, MA. All remote work must be performed in a state in which Harvard is registered to do business (CA, CT, MA, MD, ME, NH, NY, RI, and VT).

Ph.D. and direct supervisory experience of full-time staff preferred. Knowledge of undergraduate liberal arts programs and effective pedagogy preferred. Candidate must be self-motivating, able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion regarding confidential or sensitive matters. Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, and excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Communicates clearly both orally and in writing, has experience with public speaking, and has strong interpersonal skills. Able to build positive relationships and work professionally with a diverse group of faculty, staff, and students. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
