Padua Academy, an all-girls, Catholic college-preparatory high school seeks qualified applicants for the position of Academic Success Advisor for the current school year. Under the supervision of the Director of College Advisement and School Counseling, this individual will assist students with academic advising, executive functioning training and learning strategies.
Provide academic advising and support to a cohort of students
Assist students in creating educational goals and steps to attain those goals
Monitor academic progress and implement processes that offer interventions to support student needs
Collaborate with Padua administration, school counselors and teachers on effective techniques and strategies
Assist students in establishing effective habits related to time management, motivation, academic habits and goal setting
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (and working toward an advanced degree) in Education, Special Education or Educational Psychology
2-5 years of working with students in an educational setting
Demonstrated ability to work with adolescents who are faced with various learning differences.
Able to teach multiple techniques and strategies to help students develop study, learning and testing skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills required
An ability to use sound judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential issues
An understanding of and respect for the mission of Padua Academy and Catholic values
