The Administrative Assistant 2 provides administrative, general office management, and program support for professional programs including the Carson College of Business (CCOB), College of Nursing (CON), and School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (SEAS).
The duties of the position include managing day-to-day unit activities, office inventory, supporting accreditation visits, processing appointment documentation and assists directors in generating a semester course schedules tor the registrar's office.
One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 1 OR a Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or closely allied field and two years of responsible office experience at the senior clerical level or higher.
Clerical or office work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis. Graduate study may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including demonstrated productive and collaborative working relationships with a broad range of internal and external constituents.
Strong organizational skills and a willingness to take initiative.
Demonstrated experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple programs and deadlines.
Experience working in an environment requiring high attention to detail.
Experience working collaboratively within a team and across organizational lines.
Higher education experience.
Knowledge of Washington State University including experience with university policies and procedures, particularly with course scheduling processes and procedures.
Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage several projects and solve problems for a wide range of complex tasks.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and function positively in a fast paced professional environment.
Range 37, $3,024.00 - $3,915.00 | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 or applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
